Concert-Performance

The piece is based on the sound material of a live-radio-play performance which was created around the novel by Paul Auster The Country Of Last Things that was initially developed together with the actress Miriam Jansen at Berlin and Colone (Germany). In this concert Jan Mech plays a real-time composition that uses the sound material of the original performance and condenses it to a musical score using a variety of electronic and acoustic interfaces, instruments and other daily live objects.
