Microstand Controller

The Mirostand Controller is a gestural OSC controller mounted on a standard mirophone stand. It is equipped with three distance sensors that allow Theremin like gestures as well as with four buttons and two foot pedals.
Together with the controller I developed a set of Ableton Live plugins (MaxForLive devices). A central device captures the data and distributes them to a global variable space within Live, from where the other plugins can pick them up.
Currently a set set of instruments (synthesizers using granular synthesis), a converter to MIDI notes (for playing other digital synthesizers) and devices that allow to control almost every parameter of the host application Ableton Live exists.
Among others I use this instrument for performing the 10 Minute Pieces.
